Tell Dominion NO POWER TOWERS!
The Rattlesnake Mountain Association represents more than 200 property
owners who stand firmly opposed to Dominion Power's plan to install a 500KV
transmission line through the Northern Virginia piedmont. RMA rejects
Dominions Power's assertion that transmission line is needed, and is committed
to stopping the project altogether.

SCC power line hearing schedule
RMA's opposition to this project is based on the following beliefs:
- The power line project is NOT based on need
- Dominion Power's true intent is to tap into inexpensive power
generation in the Ohio Valley and sell it to lucrative markets in the
Northeast
- Dominion Power is positioning itself to obtain maximum profits after
deregulation in 2012, and the power line proposal is part of that plan
- Dominion Power is abusing the power of Eminent Domain to take private
land for corporate profit
- Dominion Power is misleading the public and legislators with it's public
relations campaign, and it's assertions are based on inaccurate data
- Their are viable alternatives for Dominion Power to increase
transmission capacity
- The private property rights of the citizens of Northern Virginia trump
Dominion's desire for higher profits
RMA calls on Dominion Power to share all the data upon which they are basing
their assertions, tell the whole truth about their desire for the line, respect
the private property rights of the citizens of Northern Virginia, and
stop the power line project.
